Pandemic Borders was created in April 2020 to examine the challenges that COVID-19 raised for vulnerable residents and workers at and within national borders, and also to shine a spotlight on the resilience and solidarity emerging across those frontiers.

Now, with the worst of the pandemic behind us, we ask: what will international migration look like over the years ahead as the pandemic subsides? What has it revealed about the structural challenges that were present across the world before it struck?  What are the new priorities for migration and asylum governance? And what lessons have we learned?
