Nazlı Özekici is a PhD candidate at Bilgi University. She completed her undergraduate education in International Relations at Koç University in 2010. In 2012, she received her master’s degree from Boğaziçi University in European Studies. Her critical review on competitive authoritarian regimes was published at the Journal of International Relations. Her research interests include youth radicalization, sociology of professions and authoritarian regimes. She works at the team for the EC Horizon 2020 funded research project DRad: De-radicalisation in Europe and beyond: Detect, Resolve, Reintegrate project (http://dradproject.com) (2020-2023).
