Suzanna Taverne

Suzanna Taverne’s wide-ranging career spans media, culture, education and finance, working across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. She is currently chair of openDemocracy and a trustee of Age UK. Previous roles have included chair of Marie Stopes International and of Gingerbread, trustee of the BBC, StepChange Debt Charity and the Design Museum as well as non-executive director of FCE Bank and of Nationwide Building Society. Previously, Suzanna worked as operations director of Imperial College and managing director of the British Museum, responsible for delivering The Great Court – a £100m millennium project. She was also strategy director of Pearson and finance director of The Independent.
